Jeanneau 409

[masterslider id=”21″]

Jeanneau 409’s  boast very striking lines, and better than average performance.  Ours has an attractive 3 cabin 2 head interior.  She will be based in St Thomas till June of 2023.  She might be the Mystic boat if the Catalina 400 sells.   Our 409, built in 2012, offers the medium draft keel (6.9′ draft) for better performance than the more common shoal keel and has a SA/D ratio of 19.2.  We have also upgraded her with a Selden MDS mast for super low friction when raising and lowering the main, carbon laminate sails, a folding prop, new electronics, and lots of other upgrades.

With a large main that can be effectively reefed, and a 105% jib that is almost self tacking, she is easy, fast and fun. All the sheets can be trimmed from the helm, allowing one person to sail her with ease. Let your crew do what they enjoy (a hint – this generally does not include sheeting in large headsails!), while you enjoy sailing her.

Down below, the spacious three stateroom layout allows everyone to spread out in their own cabin or enjoy the spacious main salon. The midships head includes a stall shower. The owner’s stateroom forward has plenty of room for all your gear, a very large berth and a large private head .  She also has a rigid bimini with solar panels and a new dodger, for even more comfort and energy self sufficiency.

Catalina 400 mk2

[masterslider id=”18″]

Our new to the fleet (as of Dec 2020) Catalina 400 mk2  will likely be based out of Mystic for the summer of 2022.   Our Catalina 400 offers twin helm steering, with an enormous cockpit.  We altered the interior  to have  2 aft cabins with much more headroom over both berth.    As our largest and most comfortable cruising yacht, she is ideal for longer trips.  When we purchased her, she had been sailed for less than 100 days, having been in storage for almost all of her existence.  The motor had less than 40 hours of use.  As of Jan 2022, she has new sails, new folding prop, new canvas, new electronics, and lots of other upgrades.  She is currently for sale.

J44

[masterslider id=”4″]

J44, likely based out of Norwalk CT for 2022, is the classic American Racer Cruiser, with 3 very spacious cabins and 2 heads.  She also has 4 good sized berths in the main salon, and will be used in the Newport / Bermuda race, and also for the Advanced Class to Maine.

Sailing performance is perhaps her most notable feature, with a SA/D ratio of 21.2.   Her large main can be easily reefed from the cockpit, and has 4 line Dutchman system.  In 2022 we will add an electric halyard winch.  She has a 105% jib that is almost self tacking.  All the sheets can be trimmed from the helm, allowing one person to sail her with ease. Let your crew do what they enjoy (a hint – this generally does not include sheeting in large headsails!), while you enjoy the roller bearing steering system with finger tip control.

Down below, the spacious three stateroom layout allows everyone to spread out in their own cabins or enjoy the spacious main salon.  The forward head includes a stall shower. The owner’s stateroom forward has plenty of room for all your gear and a very large berth.  She also has a rigid bimini with solar panels, for even more comfort and performance.

Jonmeri 40

[masterslider id=”19″]

Jonmeri 40, likely based out of Norwalk or Mystic CT for 2022, offers the highest quality European design and workmanship, built in Finland by the team that also worked at Swan.  We have modified her to have a true 3 stateroom 2 head interior, and made the cockpit one large walk thru arrangement.

The interior of the Finish built Jonmeri is stunning, with beautiful varnished woodwork, as one would expect from a company that is an offshoot from Swan.   The Jonmeri yachts share the same focus on quality, strength, excellent sailing abilities and stunning interiors, and are likewise considered one of the finest yachts in the world.

She has a forward head and V berth, along with  2 separate cabins aft.  The Starboard Cabin has a very large double berth with a private wash basin / dressing cabin.  The Port cabin has a large single or small double.  Both aft cabins can be connected if desired by removing the separating panel.  There is the same large galley as before, along with lots of storage. The Yanmar diesel is new as of November 2022, and there are lots of other great interior upgrades to make for an enjoyable, trouble free cruise

On deck she has a single large cockpit (14′ from front to back end!), a single forward companionway, and a walk thru transom.  Overhead, the main sheet lives on top of the 16′ long rigid bimini, which terminates in a davit system so the dingy can be easily raised and lowered.  Our 40 has new sails, new standing and running rigging, and all new B&G electronics.   The main flakes automatically with the Dutchman  system, while the jib is self tacking.
