Intro to Sailing
If you've never sailed or have very limited experience, start here.

This 10-hour course is taught over 2 days, and covers basic terminology, rigging, wind direction, turning (tacking & jibing), sailing upwind by the tell tails, sailing downwind without jibing and docking.
More than 95% of the class is on the water. Most importantly, this course will make you comfortable at the helm, so you can move on to Basic Keelboat ready to sail with more advanced skippers. There is no textbook, just lots of practice, with a maximum of 3 students per instructor.

Weekend Schedule and Availability
Weekend courses are typically taught over two consecutive Saturday or Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 1:00 Sign Up Now for the class.
Weekday Schedule and Availability
Weekday morning classes run from 9:15 to 11:45. Weekday afternoon classes run from 1:15 to 3:45. These times allow parents to drop off their children with our Junior Sailing program, take their Intro to Sailing class, and be back before their children get in. In both cases, the classes run from Monday to Thursday over 1 week, for a total of 10 hours of instruction. 2-day programs, where the classes run from 8:30 to 1:30, are also available.
